Starter Resume – No Job Experience/Straight Out from High School
This was one of my very first resume into applying for a job. My first job was McDonalds, as my mom pulled me in, but other than that, I had no previous experience in the workforce to even start.
When I started college, I immediately got involved in volunteer and community work with organizations and clubs, which is how I started.
I used this resume to apply for a few of my early jobs as a janitor at the university I went to, then as a peer mentor.
For any starting positions that I had no experience in, I focused on my soft and hard skills, and any community and volunteers that I was involved in such as:
- Soft skills (i.e., interpersonal communication, dedication to learning, fast learner, etc.)
- Hard skills (i.e., computer literate, words per minute)
- Voluteer and Community Service
- Accomplishments and Achievements
- Education
