Cover Letter 1 – Senior Clinical Research Coordinator

This is a cover letter that I wrote with the resume that got me in my current career position at UCSF Fresno that you can see here.

The was a position that I felt I was too inexperienced for since it was a senior clinical position. I had mainly been in social and behavioral research by this point, with some clinical experience as a research assistant.

However, I was confident in the transferability of my research skills and knowledge that I would be able to succeed in this position, so I applied.

I also included a huge recent accomplishment of a research internship for a well known scholarship organization, Sally Casanova Pre-doctoral Program, that I was an accepted scholar in.

However, I was offered a step up position to mental health specialist during my interview with them due to my experience. This new position was to provide support to a more difficult client background that I would have loved to have accepted, but I accepted my senior clinical research coordinator position instead.

This cover letter shows highlights specifically with mental health and working with troubled and difficult client populations. I also highlighted my leadership and decision making experience since it was a position where communication and initiative was important as well.

This is a cover letter that I wrote with one of my successful resume example 1 that you can see here.

The position is was a residential advisor position that I was not prepared to be accepted in or get pass the resume and cover letter stage since I did not have any advisor experience. However, I still applied.

I was 1 of 6 hired resident advisor to the program for the summer, and was the only applicant that had no prior connection with the program. All the other hired resident advisors were either previously graduated high school students of the program, or currently connected and involved in the program as a college student.
